1.   Welcome: We welcome our guests who are visiting with us for the first time. Please join us for lunch in the Chapel after the noon service.

2.    Welcoming Pastor Yushi Luh: We praise God that Pastor Yushi Luh has accepted the calling and will start as our Chinese Caring Pastor on August 14. He has arrived at Houston . If you would like to know more about the responsibilities of a Chinese Caring Pastor, please inquire at the church office.

3.   Community Services: The Chinese American Relief Effort (CARE) is sponsoring the annual School Supply raffle tickets to assist the needy families in JFK Elementary School . The $10 raffle tickets are available at the church lobby. Today is the last day for the purchase of tickets. 

4 . Awana Clubs: Can you believe another Awana year is just around the corner? Registration begins next Sunday, August 12, in the lobby after the noon service. Clubbers who are 4 years old (by 9/1/07) through 5th grade can join and cost is $60 for the school year. Register by 8/19 and receive 10 Awana Shares for your clubber. Opening night is 9/7 at 8 pm in the HCC Fellowship Hall.

5.    Marriage Conference:  Do you want to build a stronger marriage?  Come and join us for our marriage conference, which will be held on Friday, 9/7, from 7:30p.m. to 10p.m. and Saturday 9/8, from 8:45a.m. to 3:00p.m. in room 210.  Our theme is "Building a Healthy Marriage."  Our speaker is Dr. Karl Elkins, who is a professional Christian counselor for 25 years.  Child care is available. 

6.    Carol Huang Scholarship Awarded: The following students were awarded the above scholarship: Yuanyuan Li, Gerald Kim, Agnes Ho, Bless Yee & Yun Chen. Presentation will be held on 8/19(Sunday) at Noon Service.

7.    Family Life Ministry: Will have a series of marriage enrichment seminars and activities conducted in Mandarin. These include a “Blueprint of Marriage” Seminar on 9/1, an “Active Communication” Seminar on 9/8-9, a Couple Retreat on 9/21-22, and a Vow Renewal Celebration on 10/14. Details are given in an insert in today's bulletin. Or you can visit the display booth & the Family Life Bulletin Board. Spaces are limited.

8.   Staff Itinerary: Cindy Hong, 7/28-8/11, East Asia Mission, Conrad Loh, Stanley Chang & Douglas Lew, 7/29-8/5, leading youth summer camps. Jonathan Ling, 7/30-8/22, East Asia Mission , Fred Tow, 8/3-8/12, Uganda Mission .
