Welcome:
We welcome
our guests who are visiting with us for the first time. Please join us
for lunch in the Chapel after the noon service.

Membership Class : Will be
held today, from 12:45- 3:45p.m. in Rm.513.

Church
Library : The Church Library will be closed today & 5/10
for clean-up and re-arrangement of books. Volunteers are needed. If you
are interested, please contact them at hcc.library@yahoo.com

National
Day of Prayer: Will be held
on 5/7, (Thursday) from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the Chapel. Please make an
effort to come and pray for our Nation.

Children
Benediction Ceremony: We
will have a children benediction ceremony on 5/10, Mother's Day Sunday.
If you want your child to take part in it, parents need to take the preparation
class today from 1:00-2:00pm in Rm. 514.

Huang Memorial Scholarship: Applications
will be taken for 2009. Five need-based scholarships will be awarded.
Deadline for application is 6/30. Please pick up an application from the
church office or email taiw@hcchome.org.

Children's Ministry:
"One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell
of your mighty acts" (Psalm 145:4). Need a venue to tell of God's
mighty acts in your life? Want a way to praise Him to the next generation?
Join us this summer as we do just that! If interested in serving God through
the children's ministries, please contact Alex Tsui 281-265-2988 or Cindy
Hong at CindyH@hcchome.org. Summer curriculum starts June 7, 2009.

Community Service Department :
On behalf of the Houston Chinese Church , we appreciate your participation
in the 4/26 Health Day. We were able to serve 208 visitors from the Greater
Houston area and provided 24 free mammogram screenings, 521 free medical
consultations, 25 legal consultations and screenings. The three seminars
delivered valuable information, and free shuttle bus rides between Bellaire
Chinatown and church were very much appreciated by visitors. We had 45
medical volunteers and 60 non-medical volunteers as well as outside resources
served together. Your caring and loving heart made this event a successful
outreach to the Asian community.

Heart Music Ministries - JAM

A nd M usic) 2009 ,
a music and worship camp for high school students, will be held from 7/20-24.
The theme this year is “Sing. Stand. Shine!” The deadline for early registration
