NATION
1.
Pray for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. May God comfort those
who have lost loved ones. Pray that God grant
patience to those who were displaced and that
they would seek peace in Him. May the believers' faith be strengthened
in adversities.
2.
Pray for the volunteers, relief workers and government leaders. Pray
that God grant them wisdom, patience, courage and
strength.
3.
Pray that we are reminded of the blessings we receive every day and
that we would respond generously to those in
needs. May we become that light for Christ
and shine for Him.
4.
Pray for the flooding caused by the typhoon in South East China. Pray
that the victims there will not be forgotten and that
relief will reach them in a timely manner.
5.
Missionary: Pray for Dave and Alice who are serving in South East Asia
. Pray for teammates and partners to do God's
work. Pray that God open doors for gospel to reach
the villagers.
6.
Pray for the churches in New Orleans . Pray that they will be able to
make connection to their members and fellowships.
Pray that their faith stand strong.
CHURCH
7.
Praise God for the weekend ministry. The different retreats
that took place went well. Praise God for the decisions made
and renewed spirits. May God continue
to work in our lives.
8.
Praise God for the Sunday services. May God's word continue
to guide us each day. May God lead Pastor Hsueh as he
prepares to speak in both services this
Sunday.
9.
Pray for the Council meeting on September 10. Pray for wisdom,
unity and clarity in God's will in all decisions.
10.
Pray for the beginning of graded children's choir, youth choir and handbell
choir this Sunday. May God grant strength
to all the teachers.
11. Pray
for the newcomers. May they be able to experience God's love and care
in our church.
May their hearts be opened to the gospel.
12. Praise God for the
pastoral team retreat on 8/30, 31. May God help the pastoral team in sharing
the vision to the leadership and the congregation.
13.Pray
for the New Heart Music Ministry mission trip to China . Pray for Pastor
Ephraim Cheng, Amy Cheng, Daniel
Yeh Yenn Er and other team members
from Singapore. May God grant them unity and safety. May God watch over
their health
and strength.
14. Praise
God for the Mexico Mission team. May God continue to bless their work.
15.
Pray for the 30 th anniversary celebration and Christmas preparation.
Pray for energy, creativity, unity and teamwork.
INDIVIDUALS
16.
Pray for Yanyang Xiao as she travels overseas for a business trip. May
God protect her and her family.
17.
Pray for the physically weak and under medical treatment: Luella Hwang,
Dena Chong, Cheong Wai Lok, Hushan
Yang, Stella Law, Dennis
Huang, Shirley Huang and Mrs. Ting Chung Liao. Pray for patients relocated
from hospitals
in New Orleans and area and pray
that they will be cared for.
18. Pray
for the job seekers: Li Donghui, Shih-Hsin Kao and Mark Epps and may
God continue to pour out His love and
grace upon them. Pray for the thousands who
are in Houston and are in need of employment.
19. Pray
for Pastor Douglas and Jenny Lew. May God continue to guide them as
they settle down in Houston and find a
home. May God also grant a speedy recovery
of the staph infection in his leg.
