ADORATION

"The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness." Exodus 34:6

Praise the Lord for his compassion, grace, love, and faithfulness in sparing and protecting us in the storm.

Praise God for allowing us to informally gather for worship services on Sunday morning.

CONFESSION

"Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin." Psalm 51:2

Pray and confess any areas of sin to God, asking him for forgiveness and cleansing.

Confess to God our sins of self-sufficiency and independence apart from Him.

THANKSGIVING

"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 107:1

Thank the Lord for his goodness to us, our families and friends, and to our church.

Offer thanks to God for his abounding, extravagant, and eternal love for us.

SUPPLICATION

"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:12

Around the World

1.  Mali : Pray for more missionaries to be sent with the gifts needed to spread the Gospel in a country where less than 2% are Christians. Pray for resources to support and train pastors. Pray for Bible translation for the many languages in that country. Pray for radio, tapes and other creative means to reach the people for Christ.

2.   Pray for those who are suffering from Hurricane Rita after taking refuge from Katrina. Pray that God comfort, strengthen and bless them.

In Our Church

3.  Pray for Pastor Hsueh as he prepares to share God's words this Sunday. May the Holy Spirit fill him and grant him revelation of His words.

4.  Pray for the need of additional pastoral staff in our church: Chinese Pastor/Minister, Missions Pastor/Minister and Youth Pastor/Minister. Pray for God's guidance and that He will provide the right person at the right time.

5.  Pray for the English adult baptism and membership classes on 10/1 and youth baptism classes beginning on 10/9. May God prepare the hearts of the attendees. May this be a great time of learning and spiritual renewal.

6.  Pray for the recruitment and preparation of the Christmas Choir. Pray that God will provide and move many to join this ministry especially the needed men's voices.

7.  Praise the Lord that the library has re-opened. May God bless Sho-wei Loh and her co-workers for their hard work and as they manage the weekly operation. Pray that the entire library team would see the advancement of God's Kingdom in their work.

8.  Pray for the 30 th anniversary celebration preparation. May many join the special choir to prepare for thanksgiving and celebration in music.

9.  Pray for the council nomination confirmation for 2006. May God's will be done.

10. Pray for the Christmas preparation, especially the Christmas drama with the youth and graded choir on 12/9. May God provide co-workers, helpers and other needed personnel. May God grant insight and inspiration to Jed Chen as he writes the script.

Individuals

11.   Pray for the physically weak: Luella Hwang, Dena Chong, Cheong Wai Lok, Hushan Yang, Stella Law, Dennis Huang, Shirley Huang and Mrs. Ting Chung. May they continue to trust in God and rely in His faithfulness.

12.    Pray for Donghui Li, Yuqiao Gu, Shih-Hsin Kao, Mark Epps and others who are searching for employment. Pray that God strengthen their faith and grant them patience in times of difficulty and uncertainty.

13.    Pray for the expectant mothers: Feng Liu, Lingzhi Han, Yinglan Liang, Xiaofan Li, Ni Li, Jenny Lew and Huay Ming Loh. May God bless them with an abundance of love and joy in their anticipation.

14. Pray for Pastor Douglas Lew and his family as they settle in Houston . May God guide them to find a suitable home.
