ADORATION
“Declare
his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!”
Psalm 96:3
Praise
God for his glory and honor shown to His people. Praise God for His redemption
for us.
CONFESSION
“Purge
me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than
snow.” Psalm 51:7
We
confess that many times we do not live a holy life in our daily living.
Often times we are being harsh with others.
Pray
for God's forgiveness and cleansing.
THANKSGIVING
“Oh
give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among
the peoples.”
I
Chronicles 16:8.
Thank
the Lord for his forgiveness, and His patience with us. Offer thanks to
God for his abounding, extravagant and unconditional love for us.
SUPPLICATION
“Then
you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”
Jeremiah 29:12
Around
the World
1.
Sri Lanka : Pray for mercy for the people who suffer and displaced
in the civil war. Pray that the country will have peace. Pray for
the revival and increased unity of declining Christian churches among
the Buddhist extremists and Hindus.
2.
Pray for the victims of the earthquake in Pakistan . Pray for God's
comfort and healing. May God's mercy and love reach the people who
have never had a chance to hear about Him.
3.
Pray for the aftermath of the Hurricane in New Orleans , Beaumont
, Biloxi , Port Arthur and surrounding areas. May God help the workers
in these areas. Pray for the evacuees in our congregation. May God
supply their needs. May God help us to surround them with our love.
4.
Pray that the avian flu would be under control and that appropriate
actions be taken to prevent a pandemic.
5.
Pray for Diana and Edward Tong's ministry in Cameron, Africa . May
God grant them with good health. May God provide for their needs and
grant them wisdom in translating the Scripture for the people there.

6.
Praise God for blessing the weekend ministries: the sermon preached
by Pastor Hsueh and Pastor Tow; the installation of Pastor Doug Lew;
beautiful weather and fellowship for the Noon choir picnic and the
wedding of Charlie and Dorcas Lee. Pray for Minister Mou and Pastor
Lew in their preparation of the sermons for this Sunday.
7.
Pray for the Outreach Minister candidate, Linh Phan . May God guide
the process and that His will be done.

Pray for the many upcoming events at HCC: 10/22
Church clean-up; 10/28-30 Chinese Bible Conference;
10/28 Children's Fall Festival; 11/4 Chinese
Evangelistic movie; 11/6 30 th anniversary combined
Sunday service; 11/11 Youth/Parents Family night;
11/18 English concert of prayer; 12/9
Christmas celebration; 12/24 Christmas Eve Concert;
12/25 Christmas Day combined Sunday service. May
God use these events to draw us closer to Him and one another. May
His name be glorified.
9.
Pray for good weather, meaningful fellowship, closer bonding and spiritual
renewal for the attendees at the Father/Son retreat on 10/21-23.
10.
Pray for the handbell choir presentation in the noon service this
Sunday. Pray that God will protect all new handbell choir member spiritually
and physically. May God fill them with joy as they minister to the
Lord and to His people.
11.
Pray for the 30 th Anniversary combined service preparation. Pray
for Pastor Hsueh on his message; Minister Hong as she prepares the
children's bulletin; Pastor Ling as he coordinate the choir, orchestra
and the music; Iris Li as she works on special enhancement and arrangement
of our celebration.
Individuals
12.
Pray for the physically weak: Luella Hwang, Dena Chong, Cheong Wai
Lok, Hushan Yang, Stella Law, Dennis Huang, Shirley Huang and Mrs.
Ting Chung. Pray for God's comfort and mercy. Pray for the father
of Elaine Chan whose eye will be operated on because of cataract.

Pray for Donghui Li, Shih-Hsin Kao, Mark Epps and others who are searching
for employment. Pray God grant them patience and perseverance.

Pray for the expectant mothers: Feng Liu, Lingzhi Han, Yinglan
Liang, Ni Li, Jenny Lew, and Huay Ming Loh. Pray for strength and
comfort.
15.
Pray for Pastor Hsueh and Cynthia who are in California attending
the memorial service of Cynthia' mother. May God guide them and use
the funeral to glorified Him.
16.
Pray that God comfort Conita Tse and her family. Conita's mother went
to the Lord on 10/15. May God grant them peace that surpasses all
understanding.
