ADORATION

"The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told." Luke 2:20

Praise God for his Son Jesus coming to earth to be with us and to save us from our sins. He is the reason for the season.

Praise the Lord for last weekend's ministries: (a) messages by Geoff Chang and Tao Mou ; (b) Celebration in different fellowship groups: AiLin, Quest, BASIC and Cantonese Family; (c) congregational meeting on the 2006 budget.

CONFESSION

Who can say, "I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin"? Proverbs 20:9

Confess to God the times when our thoughts of him are superficial and selfish, when we are caught up with our own busyness and activities.

THANKSGIVING

We give thanks to you, O God, we give thanks, for your Name is near; men tell of your wonderful deeds.

Psalm 75:1

Thank the Lord for always being with us, that Jesus is called Emmanuel, "God with us."

Give thanks to God for all the wonderful deeds he has done in our lives and in our church.

SUPPLICATION

But I pray to you, O LORD, in the time of your favor; in your great love, O God, answer me with your sure salvation.

Around the World

1. Myanmar : Praise God that despite the isolation and repression of Christians, there has been considerable growth among

some ethnic minorities. Pray for fortitude and faithfulness under restrictions and persecutions.

2. Pray for the various places in the world experiencing war. May the war in Iraq end soon. Pray that God protect the men and women who serve there.

3. Pray for seminarians as they are on break from school. Pray that they have opportunity to rest, be refreshed and spend time with family and friends.

4. May God comfort the families who lost loved ones in the plane crash in Florida .

In Our Church

5. Pray for the Christmas Eve concert and Christmas Sunday service: (a) pray that the rehearsals on 12/23, 24 and 25 will be smooth; (b)        pray that Pastor Ling has the wisdom and clarity of mind as he plans and leads. (c) pray for all the audio and visual operations so they       would be smooth and enhancing to the worship.

6. Pray for Pastor Hsueh as he prepares to deliver the Christmas message. May God grant him special insight and communicate to   

    thecongregation and their different backgrounds.

7.  Pray for the holiday travelers. May God watch over our brothers and sisters as they travel, relax and spend time with family and friends

.

8. Pray for the High school Winter Retreat on 12/21-23. May God watch over all the students who are attending. May this be a time of 

    spiritual renewal in the walk with God.

9. Pray for the families who are experiencing difficulties this Christmas because of the hurricanes, who have lost loved ones and other 

    reasons. May God provide and comfort them. May we be sensitive to their needs and have caring and generous heart.

Individuals

10. Pray for Jeremy Yang. He is recovering from oral surgery. Pray that there will not be any complications. May he be able to have a       

      speedy recovery and continue to use his musical talents to serve God.

11. Pray for God's mercy and grace upon the physically weak: Luella Hwang, Dena Chong, Hushan Yang, Stella Law, Dennis Huang,   

      Shirley Huang, Mrs. Ting Chung Liao, Grace Chen, Linda Kilbourne, Conita Tse, Doris Tam and Sai Kong . May they experience the

      presence of God in all situations.

12. Pray for Shih Hsin Kao, our worship department deacon. He has been looking for employment for over 6 months. His wife has 

      interviewed for a job in another city. Please pray for God's guidance and provision. Pray that if God is willing, they do not have to 

      move  to another city.

13. Pray for Shih-Hsin Kao, Mark Epps and Paul Chang and others who are seeking employment. Pray that God provides opportunities.

14. Pray for the expectant mothers: Lingzhi Han, Yinglan Liang, Ni Li, Jenny Lew, and Huay Ming Loh. Pray for good health and spirit as 

     they prepare to give birth.
