ADORATION
"The
LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious
God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness."
Exodus
34:6
Praise
the Lord for his compassion, grace, love, and faithfulness in sparing
and protecting us.
Let us pause to express
our praise for last week's ministry: (a) Sermon given by Pastor Tow on
‘Ggiving and Forgiving';(b) Sermon given by Pastor Hsueh on God's love
and mercy in light of the mothers in Jesus' family;(c) for the Children's
Benediction; (d) the Baptism in the English service; (d) the council meeting
and (e) the conclusion of the school year for Chinese School and its Commencement;
"Wash
away all my iniquity and cleanse me
from my sin." Psalm
51:2
Pray and ask the
Holy Spirit to search our hearts and reveal to us any area of unconfessed
sin.
We acknowledge
these sins to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.
THANKSGIVING
"Give
thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love
endures forever." Psalm 107:1
Let us pause to
offer our own expressions of thanksgiving.
SUPPLICATION
"Then
you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."

Around
the World
1. Greece : Although
it was the first European country to be evangelized but the country
is still mostly Orthodox. Harassments and persecution of minorities
still happens. Pray that the believers have the courage to witness,
united in the Spirit that many will hear a full presentation of the
gospel.
2. Pray for the protection
and speedy recovery of those who are experiencing flooding in the New
England area. May God comfort them and protect them.
3. Pray that God
grant President Bush wisdom in his governing and decisions. Pray that
God continues to direct America in the just and compassionate immigration
law.
Our
Church and Other Ministries
4. Pray for Pastor
Luke Lu who will be speaking in the noon service and Pastor Hsueh who
will be preaching in the English service. Pray that we will be prepared
to receive God's word.
5. Pray for the ordination
service for Minister Tao Mou this Sunday. May God bless Minister Mou
with much wisdom and strength as he commit himself to God and men in
the Gospel ministry. May God use this service to greatly glorify Him
and that the congregation supports him and continues to lift him up
in prayers.
6. Praise God for
the Youth Choir ministry. We are thankful for the faithful service of
our young people and may God bless sister Sung Ping Lin as she continues
to serve faithfully.
7. Pray for the combined
children's choir as they prepare to present songs in both services this
Sunday. May the children learn to walk in the Lord through their voices
and music.
8. Pray for the brothers
and sister who are preparing to be baptized on 5/21 in the noon service:
Chuanshan Tian, Chuanying Zhao,Yun Ying, Shui Shui Feng, Song Huang
Zhenya Zia, Ling Wang and Zen Ming Jin. Pray that they will experience
the presence of God as we welcome them to the church family. .
9. Pray for Dena
Chong who will be commissioned on Sunday to serve in Spain . Pray for
the many short term mission team members: East Asia: Robert Hwang, Jesse
Chan, Christine Hwong, Jarvis Chan, Elaine Chan, Ingrid Song, Ryan Quock,
Jane Gan, Tilly Leung, Linh Phan, Daniel Yeh and Isaque; Central Asia:
Arnald Cheng; California: Henry Jin and the 40 team members who will
be going to Mexico.
10. Pray
that God will bless all the graduates and continue to guide their future
endeavors wherever they may be. May they continue to grow in the faith
and knowledge.
11. Pray for the
HCC Music night on 6/30 preparation. May God grant joy and fellowship
even as we prepare for musical presentation, refreshment and other details.
May we be drawn closer to Him and each other.
12. Pray for
the summer intern Jonathan Li as he prepares to begin his ministry in
the youth department. Pray for the missionary in residence David Ho.
May God bless him and his family as they take a break from the mission
field. May God watch over his wife, Alice as their baby is due this
summer. May God provide for their needs. We also pray that God uses
them to open our eyes for mission.
13 . Pray for the
summer children's workers. May God provide the needed workers on Fridays
and Sundays.
14. Continue to pray
for the recovery from the eye surgery of Yang Cheng Tsu Sung. Pray for
Sammy Yee as his body is weakened. May God grant him peace and comfort
his family especially his elderly parents.
15. Pray for strength
and comfort of the physically weak and those who are recovering: Stella
Law Smither, Luella Hwang, Hushan Yang, Dennis Huang, Shirley Huang,
Mrs. Ting Chung Liao, Grace Chen, Doris Tam, Mrs. Chen L. Wu, Mrs. Lee
Ying Wang, Huifeng Liu and Jun Xiu's daughter, Helen, James Chen, mother
of Andy Au, Sammy Yee, Liang Zhang, Hua Yin Liu, and David Qin. Pray
that they experience the comfort of our God.
16. Continue to pray
for those who are seeking employment: Shih-Hsin Kao, Katherine Mui,
and others. Pray that they have patience and keep the faith as they
wait for the right opportunities.
17. Remember the
expectant mothers in your prayers: Kelly Ma, Hong Zhang, Yaxia Zou,
Yujing Li, Yen Kong, Ariel Huang and Stephanie Chiang .
