1. Republic of Liberia was founded as a Christian state with freedom of religion in theory. However, in practice, there is pressure on Christians to conform to occults and secret societies. Four Mandarin speaking fellowships ( Cambridge , Aihua, Living Spring and Canaan ) are preparing for their joint retreat on Labor Day and Mandarin Young Professional Fellowship is celebrating their 30 th Anniversary in a retreat. Pray for the co-workers to have unity of heart and purpose. Pray that many will attend for spiritual renewal and fellowship.
7. The preparation of the Christmas celebration is underway. May God help the co-workers in their planning, choosing the date for the Christmas pageant, provide appropriate singers and actors.
8. The church-wide picnic will be held on Saturday, 9/30. Many volunteers are needed to help with lunch, games, set up and clean up. Pray that many will join to attend and to serve.

10. Pray for Dr. Richard Lin who will be leading the Choir Festival on Saturday, 9/23. May God protect him and strengthen him spiritually and physically. May many will attend to discover, to learn how to serve and worship our Lord with their spiritual gift in music
