ADORATION

Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Psalm 29:1

All Glory be attributed to the Lord. We praise Him and adore Him in everything we do.

CONFESSION

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him

the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

We confess that we many times we are lost and wander away from God's grace.

THANKSGIVING

I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord,

the Most High. Psalm 7:17

We thank God for last week's ministries. May God help us appreciate His many blessings in our lives. May we live in holiness and examine the gifts He has given us.

SUPPLICATION

For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as the Lord our God is to us,

whenever we call upon him? Deuteronomy 4:7

Around the World

1. Republic of Paraguay : A landlocked country in South America with few natural resources. There is equality before the law of all religions but the Catholic Church is most influential in all areas of the society. There are also much superstitious tradition and occult related practices. Pray for leadership development, unity of pastors and clarity of missionary vision of Paraguayan churches to spread the Gospel.

2. Pray for President Bush so he will continue to lead America to live in a God-fearing way. May God protect us from all terrorists' activities.

Our Church and Other Ministries

3. Pray for Pastor Tow and Pastor Mou as they prepare to deliver God's message this coming Sunday.

4. A retreat for seniors of HCC and our sister churches will be held on Saturday, 9/16 at Fort Bend Community Church . May God bless the seniors and grant them a time of fellowship and learning.

5. Pray for the 2007 council nomination. May God provide the needed nominees of the different departments.

6. Pastor Hsueh is teaching, training and ministering in Asia . May God give him travel safety, strong teaching and good health.

7. Pray for the final preparation of the Choir Festival on 9/23: (1) the youth and Adult choir will have a combined rehearsal on 9/16. May this be a great time of learning and fellowship; (2) wisdom for Dr. Lin and Pastor Ling as they plan the presentation and seating arrangements for all the choirs; (3) for appropriate weather and good attendance in the afternoon concert.

8. We need volunteers to teach computer on Sunday afternoons. May God grant us wisdom and outreach to serve the community.

9. Pray for the English membership class on 9/16. Pray that many may gain a clear understanding of the benefits and obligations and commitment of a church member.

10. Praise God that Marie Chen, Bruce and Melanie Sun joined HCC membership last week in the Chinese service. May God bless and use them to further God's kingdom. Praise God for Daniel Fang who will become a new member in the morning service on 9/17.

11. Pray for the church pictorial directory. May God work in the administration process and a smooth completion.

Individuals

12. Pray for Mrs. Kwei Lee (Pastor Ling's mother-in-law). The doctor found a tumor in her colon. Pray that she would receive good medical care and treatment on a timely basis.

13. Praise God that Jing Li has completed her 1 st course of treatment. We also thank God that Dorna Ling has almost recovered from her head and neck pain. She was able to lead the children and handbell rehearsal on Sunday.

14. We thank God for answering many prayers. At home and/or under doctor's care : Wen Hua Xu (Ingrid Song's father), Sophia (Qiang Zhao and Hong Zhang's daughter), John Joe's grandmother, Aimee Yuan (eye treatment), Shirley Huang (dialysis), Dennis Huang, James Chen, Ting Liang, Ting Chung Liao, Xuedong Dai (back problem) and his mother (anemic), David Qin, Richard Bao ( Stoney Brook Health Center), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Ngan Wai (Amy Tong's mother), Erlinda Aquino (Jennifer Aquino's mother), Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Julia Xu Liu, Cynthia Chan's father (Prostate cancer), and Paul Quan (JoAnna Quan's father).

15. Continue to pray for Weilie Pang, Fang Fang and Zhongzheng Yi in their search of employment.

16. Praise God for baby boy, Jonathan Andrew, born to David and Alice Ho. God has answered our prayers that there were no complications. Continue to pray for good health and good spirit of the expectant mothers: Yen Yen Kong, Yaxia Zou, Stephanie Chiang , Esther Szeto, Yingqing Guo and Emay Yeng.
