Adoration

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:3

Let us come and praise Our God for all the blessings we received. We adore our God for His faithfulness

and love. May His name be uplifted.

CONFESSION

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches

of his grace, Ephesians 1:7

We are to come before our Lord and confess our sins to Jesus Christ for he has redeemed us from our sins.

THANKSGIVING

I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. Ephesians 1:16

Be thankful for salvation through Christ and what He has done for us every moment.

SUPPLICATION

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16

Around the World

1.Socialist Republic of Vietnam : The constitutional guarantee of religious freedom is meaningless since persecution of Christians continue to be harsh. Praise God for the continued growth of witnessing churches, and especially among the mountain tribal peoples. Pray for the leadership training, Bible, literature and media ministries that are needed to sustain the growth of His church in spite of the hardship they face.

2. May there be peace in the world. Remember the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan who face danger everyday. May God give the leaders wisdom to find ways to bring peace.

Our Church and Other Ministries

3. Praise God for answered prayer. Both evenings for the Christmas pageants went smoothly and were well attended. Praise God also that the children's and hanbell choirs were able to share the joy of Christmas with the residents of Goldberg Tower . It was greatly encouraging and meaningful to them.

4.   Thank God for the sermon by Pastor Hsueh last week in both services. Pray for inspiration and clarity as he prepares to preach Sunday.

5.   Pray for the graded children's choir as they prepare to sing in worship services this Sunday. May they stay healthy and have a great experience serving God.

6. We are preparing for the Christmas service. Pray that God will provide for the needed percussion instrumentalist.

7. There will be baptism in the Chinese worship service on 12/17/06. Pray that the brothers and sisters will prepare their hearts to proclaim their faith: Zhi Jie Pan, Xiaomei Zhang, Yun Wu, Stephan Chan, Xue Mei Wang, Xiaoying Goa, Linda Kelly, and Yihong Sun. May we remember and welcome new members who would be introduced: Raymond Zhou, Doreen Yu, ZiLI Geng, Shu Qin Xin and Avis Chan.

8. There will be a Cantonese Town Hall meeting on 12/15. Pray that many can attend to share the vision and plan the future with HCC pastoral staff and co-workers.

9. Pray for the Sunday membership meeting to confirm the 2007 budget. May each member assume this responsibility and vote.

10. There were some changes made in room assignments for the Children's Department. May these changes prove beneficial for the children.

11. The Treasury Department usually experiences extra workload at yearend. Pray that the co-workers be granted extra wisdom and strength in their service.

12. Pray for God's guidance in our search for future staff. Pray that the get-acquainted visit by a minister be fruitful and meaningful ---visits from Thursday to Saturday.

13. The acquisition of additional land for our need is being explored. Pray that God will open doors; provide opportunities with the city and neighboring owner.

14. Students will be preparing for their finals. May they practice discipline and good time management in the process.

Individuals

15 Pray for Avis (Cantonese Student Fellowship) Chan's father who is recovering from a stroke Ting-Chung. Please pray that he would be able to attend Avis' wedding in January. Continue to pray for the physically weak, recuperating or recovering: Ting-Chung Liao who has fallen, Lingwen LI's mother, Jian Huang's mother, Xin ShuQin Geng (stomach), Cherng Ching Huang's father, Pastor Ling's mother-in-law, Elaine Chan 's father, Josephine Chang's mother , Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Xuedong Dai and his mother, Cynthia Chan's father, JoAnna Quan's father, Mark Epp's mother, Ed Fong's grandfather and Francis Ng's mother, Aimee Yuan (eye treatment), Shirley Huang (dialysis), Ting Liang, , Xuedong Dai (back problem), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Julia Xu Liu (under treatment) and Jing Li.

16. Continue to pray for opportunities for Weilie Pang, that she patiently perseveres during this waiting period.

17. Continue to pray for the expectant mothers: Esther Szeto, Connie Chau, Tina Leung and Ingrid Song. Pray for Haoling Wang (Diao) who is expecting her second child. May all the expectant mothers experience a special joy and peace during the Christmas season.
