Adoration

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. Luke 2:20

Let us praise God who is in the highest and for unto us a Savoir is born.

CONFESSION

Who can say, “I have made my heart pure; I am clean from my sin”? Proverbs 20:9

We come before our God and humbled ourselves because we have all sinned against God and against each other.

THANKSGIVING

giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 5:20

Give thanks to our God for He sent His only son, Jesus Christ to us.

SUPPLICATION

Now therefore, O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O Lord, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary, which is desolate. Daniel 9:17

Around the World

1.Republic of India : is a racially, ethnically, religiously and linguistically very complex country. Almost 80% of the population is Hindu. The rise of Hindu extremism resulted in a hate campaign against Christians. But India has more people groups with no Christians, churches or workers than any other part of the world. Pray that the Church world-wide might rise to complete this task. Socially, women and girls have suffered greatly because of century-old customs, especially abortion, based on gender of the unborn. Pray that the government uphold the sanctity of life and that feticide based on selective gender ends as a practice.

2. Pray for the new Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates. May God grant him wisdom to handle the war in Iraq and the security of our country.

3. The Astronauts are working in space. May they ably and safely complete this mission.

Our Church and Other Ministries

4. Praise God for the many ministries last week: a) graded children's choirs' music in both worship services; b) baptism and new members joining HCC in the Chinese service; c) Pastor Hsueh's message of God's initiative and our response.

5.   Pastor Hsueh is preparing to speak in the 12/24 service. Prayerfully remember him to be inspired by God's word and filled by the Holy Spirit to refreshingly deliver the age-old message .

6.   The preparation of 12/24 combined service: a) the orchestra will have rehearsals on 12/21, 22 and 23; b) Kindergarten and below will have a good time with new teachers; c) the smooth operation of the audio and video department.

7.   Safety for the many travelers during the holiday season. May we all have meaningful and restful reunions with family and friends.

8. We are preparing to introduce a Spiritual Journal for 2007 to the congregation. Pray for the logistics, translation and coordination of this ministry. May we utilize this tool to help us grow stronger in the Lord.

9. Pray for the co-workers in the Treasury Department who have added workload at the year end.

10. The Family Life ministry will launch a new 2007 Wednesday ministry for women and retirees. May we support this ministry through prayers, participation and promotion for corporate growth.

11. Pray for the follow- up work with the new believers. Pray that God will use a gathering at Mark VI apartment to make connections and build relationships. Pray especially for Minister Linh Phan , David Linktakoon, Jonathan Liu and many EE co-workers . May God grant them strength and passion to care for the new brothers and sisters.

12. The High School Winter Retreat will be held on 12/20. Pray that the Lord will watch over each youth and adult attending the retreat. May all have a safe and fruitful time in the Lord.
