ADORATION

Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

Psalm 29:1

May we all give praise to the attributes of our God for He is our strength and

He is glory..

CONFESSION

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

We confess that many times we forgot that we are to live for God's glory. We have not glorified His name with our witness and words. Forgive us for thinking too little of God's magnificent glory.

THANKSGIVING

I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High. Psalm 7:17

Thank God for His righteousness. Thank God for meeting our needs according to the glorious reaches in Jesus Christ.

SUPPLICATION

For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as the Lord our God is to us, whenever we call upon him? Deuteronomy 4:7

Around the World

1. Angola : Although the first president vowed to eradicate Christianity within 20 years after its independence, the collapse of Communism resulted in an ease of nearly all discrimination against Christians. Pray for true freedom, love and forgiveness for past violence among the tribes. Pray for Christ-like holy living by followers and revived passion to outreach to the non believers. Prayers are urgently needed for Bible translations. Out of 26 languages, 21 are without scriptures or translators.

2. Continue to pray for missionaries Jerry and Kit Ling Swenson. Pray for God's protection and that they will be used mightily as His instruments in the upcoming evangelistic outreach events. Pray that many will come to know and receive the Lord as their personal Savior and God. Remember David and Alice Ho who have returned to East Asia . Pray for good health for the family and smooth travel.

Our Church and Other Ministries

3. Praise God for the new year. Pray that we learn how to exercise love more in the coming year.

4.   We are blessed to have our newly-installed church council members to be our servant leaders. May each one be filled with the Holy Spirit as he/she serves the Lord and His church.

5.   Pray for Pastor Hsueh and Pastor Tow as they prepare to preach this Sunday. May God speak through them powerfully and clearing.

6.   Praise God for guiding Pastor Ling and Brother Niey-Bor Hsyung who attended Emmanuel Chen's funeral service in Canada . May God continue to direct HCC as we prepare to hold a memorial service this Saturday, 1/13 at 2pm. May God be greatly gloried and for His peace and comfort to the family and friends.

7. The New Heart team is visiting many locations and churches in the Far East . Praise God for fruitful teaching and worship in Hong Kong . Pray for the team and especially for Pastor Ephraim Cheng's health and strength.

8. Pray for the college students who have returned to their various campuses. May God watch over them in their studies and spiritual life in the new semester.

9. Pray that God will raise up new pianists for the Noon service and the noon service choir.

10. Pray for the Family Life Ministry kick-off on Wed,1/31. Pray that God will bless Rev. and Mrs. Hay Chun Maak and use them to introduce the new Wednesday ministries.

Individuals

11. Pastor Tow is diligently working on his dissertation. May God grant him wisdom, strength and steadfastness as he completes each stage of his plan.

12 May God continue to be with those physically weak and recovering: Avis Chan's father, Ting-Chung Liao, Lingwen LI's mother, Jian Huang's mother, Xin ShuQin Geng (stomach), Cherng Ching Huang's father, Pastor Ling's mother-in-law, Josephine Chang's mother , Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Xuedong Dai and his mother, Cynthia Chan's father, JoAnna Quan's father, Mark Epp's mother, Ed Fong's grandfather and Francis Ng's mother, Aimee Yuan (eye treatment), Shirley Huang (dialysis), Ting Liang, , Xuedong Dai (back problem), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Julia Xu Liu (under treatment) and Jing Li.

13. Continue to pray for patience and faith as Weilie Pang awaits opportunities.

14. Praise God for twin babies, Grace and David, born to Xin Xin Tan and Huiling Zhang. May God continue to protect and provide for the expectant mothers: Esther Szeto, Connie Chau, Tina Leung, Ingrid Song, Bonnie Ni, Haoling Wang (Diao) and Linzhi Han.
