ADORATION

You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven

worships you. Nehemiah 9:6

Praise the Lord, our God, who created heavens and earth and everything contained therein.

CONFESSION

I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Psalm 32:5

Father, forgive our sins and transgressions. We pray that for the sake of your Kingdom, cleanse our sins in words, thoughts and deed.

Thanksgiving

I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. Psalm 118:21

Thank the Lord for his goodness and love in our lives, especially his great love in sending his Son Jesus Christ to be our salvation.

SUPPLICATION

Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress.

Be gracious to me and hear my prayer! Psalm 4:1

Around the World

1.   Bangladesh is one of the world's poorest nations. The majority of the population is illiterate, malnourished and without adequate medical care. They are the largest unreached peoples in the world. Islam was declared the state religion with Hindu and Christianity in the minority. Pray for stability of the government and improvement of the people's lives. Pray for openness to the gospel, more workers and church planting. Pray that the country will not be influenced by the extreme Muslim groups who have incidents of destruction of churches and persecutions.

2.   Pray for President Bush as he leads our country in foreign and domestic policies at a crucial time.

Our Church and Other Ministries

3. Praise God for the ministries last week: (a) the Kid's Koncert with Junko Cheng who brought grown ups and children alike to praise God with music; and (b) the messages from Pastors Tow and Mou in the worship services.

4.   Pray for the Sunday ministries this week: (a) Pastor Hsueh and Brother Zhiming Yuan will preach; (b) Caleb (Senior) choir and noon choir will sing in the Chinese service. May God use his children to glorify Him greatly.

5.   Pray for the Evangelistic Meeting on Friday, 1/26 at HCC. May the film “The Gospel” produced by Zhiming Yuan will be an effective tool to reach out to those who have not heard the good news. May God provide suitable weather and many seekers to come. Pray that the Holy Spirit will move through the film and the speaker. May many hearts and minds be open to God.

6.   Pray for the Family Life Ministry beginning on Wednesday, 1/31. Pray for the final preparation, planning, and the speakers. May God use them to touch lives.

7. Pray for the CCI meeting at HCC with Rev. Maak on ‘enriching the second half' of our lives, the workshops and discussion groups on 2/3. May God use these meetings to strengthen our walk with Him.

8. May God bless the co-workers of the fellowship groups in their preparations for celebrating Chinese New Year. Pray that the language groups (the Cantonese speaking groups on 2/16 and the Mandarin speaking groups on 2/17) have the opportunity to spend time together and invite friends and family. May God grant them wisdom and joy as they labor.

9. Pray for the English Buddy ministry. Pray that many brothers and sisters will volunteer to reach beyond language and share the gospel.
