ADORATION

Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power. Psalm 21:13

Praise God because He is our King filled with power and glory. He is worthy of our praise and adoration.

CONFESSION

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Psalm 32:1

We pray to the Lord for forgiveness of our sins of self-centeredness, selfishness and often not recognizing the power of the Gospel..

THANKSGIVING

I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. Psalm 118:21

Give thanks to God for the many short-term mission teams sent out to do His work, partnered with local churches, returned home safely and having witnessed God's work in many places.

SUPPICATION

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." Mathew 7:7

Around the World

•  Kingdom of Norway : It is one of the four Scandinavian countries with a wealthy economy and complete freedom of religion. Norway remains to be one of the top sending nations in the world continuing a long tradition of its contribution to world evangelization. Pray that the vision for world evangelism may increase and bear much fruit. The Lutheran Church of Norway is the State church with a significant minority of Free Churches , Pentecostal and charismatic congregations. Pray that the gospel reaches Oslo and surrounding areas where over half the population lives; the Saami who live in the far north and culturally and linguistically different, the immigrant minorities from North Africa and other Muslim countries, Asians from Sri Lankan Tamils, Vietnam and China, and many refugees from Bosnia, Yugoslavia and Albania.

•  May the peace of God be upon America as we remember 9/11. May God heal those who lost loved ones in the attack and in the wars. May God's love overcome hatred and terror.

Our Church and Other Ministries

3. Praise God for the many ministries this weekend: (1) many attended the ‘end times' workshop led by Pastor Johann Lai; (2) the many couples who attended the bilingual marriage conferences, (3) the great turn out of the graded children's choir and (d) the worship service with the sermon on the Power of the Gospel and the baptism of Chengying Fan.

4.     Pray for Pastor Tow and Pastor Mou who are preparing to preach the sermon on Sunday. Specially pray for Pastor Mou who is speaking on short notice for the ailing Pastor Hsueh. Pray that the Holy Spirit clearly speaks to them and inspires them to deliver God's word to us. Pray for plenty of rest for Pastor Hsueh and that he will feel better quickly.

5.     Praise God that Sho-Wei Lo and Minister Linh Phan have returned home safely from Almaty. May the Lord help them to readjust from jetlag. Continue to pray for the co-workers and the church there in their Christian growth.

6. Pray for the children's ministry: (1) the opening night for AWANA on 9/14. May God use all the leaders to guide the children in learning God's word; (2) the CEF pre-school training beginning 9/18. Pray that many will respond to the opportunity to learn and be equipped to teach..

7. Pray for Huay Ming Loh as she directs the handbell choir and that the Lord provide more ringers and grant joy and passion in their service.

8.     Pray for the English membership classes on 9/16 that many will take the step to commit themselves to become faithful members of God's family at HCC.

9.     Pray for the audio and power point operations -- that the Lord bless all co-workers and their ministry of support and enhancement of our worship services.

10.     Pray for the monthly council meeting on 9/15. Pray for wisdom, vision and unity as the council members meet to discuss and plan the ministries of our church.

11.Pray for the physically weak: mother of Renie, Tilly, and Alex, Siu Yung Chung Leung, mother of Emmanuel and Samuel, Hsien Tan Lin, mother of Kim Wong, You May Lan, Mony Choi's mother, Lesley Chong's father, Julia Jing Xu, James Wang's mother, Alice Chen, Xin Shu Qin, Lingwen Li's mother, Yong Wu's mother, Josephine Chan's mother, Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Xuedong Dai (back problem),and his mother, Cynthia Chan's father, Ed Fong's grandfather, Shirley Huang (dialysis), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Jing Li and Zili Geng.

13.   Continue to pray for brothers and sisters seeking new employment: Weilie Pang, Jianping Zhao, and Longjiang Shao, May they patiently and obediently await opportunities.

14. Praise God for the birth of baby girl, Joanna to Hong Lin and Jianying Long on 9/12. Both mother and baby are well. Continue prayers for the expectant mothers: Kelly Ma, Rita Wei Chang, Linong Xiu, Li Liu Cao, Zhiying Chen and Selina Lei.
