Around the World

1. Republic of Turkey : straddles two continents (Europe and Asia ) has always been a country of strategic importance through out history. It has the world's 17 th largest economy but at the same time it is also one of Europe 's poorer nations. Externally, there are tensions between Turkey and nearly all its neighbors and internally the large Kurdish minority has been at war with the government. Pray for a complete end to the hostilities. Turkey has officially been a secular state but in recent years Islam has become politically more important: To be a Turk is to be a Muslim. Pray for strong and united fellowships in the Turkish church, the vision to increase its churches and congregations. Pray for other means of witness such as Bible translation, Christian literature and Christian radio.

2.  Pray for the early control of the wild fire in San Diego area, safety and protection of the residents and their homes.
