Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Psalm 29:1

Father, we know where our strength and courage come from. All that we are and all that we can do is a gift from you. We praise you for you are good to your children.

CONFESSION

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, Ephesians 1:7

We confess to God all our sins against men and God. We pray for His forgiveness and pray that we will not sin again.

THANKSGIVING

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

We give thanks to Christ, our father, for He gives us His love and grace in abundance.

SUPPICATION

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. Jeremiah 29:12

Around the World

1.  Venezuela : used to be a Spanish colony until 1811. It has been championed as one of the most stable democracies in Latin America . Although it is one of the world's largest oil producers, government has not use its resources wisely leaving 3/4 population improvished. Praise the Lord for tremendous evangelical growth in the last decade. Evangelical believers grew from 1 million in 1990 to around 2.5 million in 2000. Since the election of Hugo Chavez as the president in 1999, the religious climate is increasingly opposed to Christ. All manner of spiritism draws Venezuelans from Christ. Pray for true discipleship of new Christians, theological orthodoxy and leadership training. Pray for the evangelization of some 27 Amerindian tribal peoples and other unreached minorities, the Arab community, the Chinese and other immigrant groups.

2.  Pray for God's protection from a ‘superbug' MRSA that is resistant to most antibiotics. May God grant wisdom to medical researchers in finding an effective treatment.

3.  Pray for a smooth and safe journey for Jerry and Kit Ling Swenson as they leave for Hong Kong . Also pray for their fellowship in the Middle East since they have received notice to stop meeting. Pray for God's wisdom as the team reviews and evaluates their future ministry's direction.
