Around the World

1. Republic of Yemen : is the poorest state in the Middle East located in the south and south-western portion of the Arabian Peninsula . It has a turbulent history of civil wars and conquest with a tradition of individuals bearing weapons. The Queen of Sheba reigned in Yemen and sought wisdom from Solomon three millennia ago. Even though Christianity was strong by 400 AD, the Muslim conquest obliterated it in the 7 th century. Today, it is illegal for non-Muslims to proselytize and for Muslims to become Christians. Pray for tactful faith sharing and the Lord's intervention so that the Yemenis would have the freedom to come to Christ. Also pray for Asian, Western and other Christians to respond to God's call to this land and to become winsome, living testimonies for Christ.

2. Pray for the election of government officials. May all officials be faithful and righteous leaders who serve their constituents with compassion.

3. Pray for the more than hundreds of thousands suffering from the flooding in Tabasco State in Mexico and for quick and sufficient assistance.

5.   Pray for the worship service this week: (a) for insight and clarity for Pastor Hsueh as he prepares to preach in both services. (b) Ellie Tow and Pastor Ling as they lead the congregation in worship services through the music.

7. Pray for the Wednesday morning ministries: Extraordinary Women's Fellowship and Rainbow Fellowship. May we reach out to those who may be isolated. May many be able to enjoy the great spiritual feast prepared for those who eagerly attend.

8.   May God revive our prayer lives, grant us a deep hunger for Him so that we will depend on Him in all that we do.
