TV addiction
Pastor
Tao Mou
You know something? I used to crave for TV. Sometimes
I just got to have some of it. I was like some of my friends.
And one of them said “I can't live without it. I
just can't stand it.” And he is a pastor too, a black pastor in a black
church. Well, same human struggle. Maybe you don't have TV addiction like
us. How about internet? Can you live without it for a few days?
Well,
knowing that I had this problem, I started to pray about it. Not just
once, but I continued to pray. I prayed that God will help me and make
a change in this area. And again He did. I found out that I didn't view
it as a source of my relaxation or my satisfaction any more. I realized
that it is not. And it didn't actually deliver that to me.
What I truly needed is to spend more
time with God, and with my peace. I don't really need that stuff to live.
So I changed. There is actually more time and energy for me when I changed.
