A couple was driving over to the zoo on 4 th of July.
It started to rain. The wife suggested going home, but the husband said
that Houston 's shower comes and goes. As the rain was pouring down, he
anticipated people leaving the zoo and the weather will be cooler. There
will be more parking spaces available and the zoo will be less crowded.
Indeed, when they arrived, the heavy rain turned to light sprinkles. They
thank the Lord for being gracious to them.
Life
is filled with surprises that are contrary to our plans. These occurrences
are very normal. Both happy people as well as unhappy people are faced
with similar experiences in life.
The difference is perspective. Unhappy people tend
to have a more pessimistic attitude and they would focus on the unpleasant
life events. They become introspective and self-centered in their thinking.
On the other hand, happy people have a more optimistic attitude and they
allow room for disappointments and failures. They believe that all things
work together for good for those who love God and are called according
to His purpose. God is in control and He loves His children. As believers
strive to love God and discover His purposes for them, He will work all
things for good according to His timing. They know how to maximize each
day of their life by making lemonade out of lemons.
