God
of Justice

Too
often we view God as a God of love and He definitely is. However, we tend
to overlook that God is also a God of wrath. Our Lord is a righteous and
just God. Because He hates sin, we will all be accountable to Him. The
Bible says, “So then, each of us will give an account of himself to
God” (Rom. 14:12). “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight.
Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we
must give account “(Heb. 4:13).
It
is our tendency to hide or cover up when we sin hoping that no one will
find out. We might be able to fool others, but we cannot fool God and
ourselves. We must take full responsibility for our actions. There are
consequences for all the decisions that we make. Good decisions will yield
positive consequences. Bad decisions will yield negative consequences.
Although it might not arrive right away, we can be assured that it will
come because God is a just God.
Although
God is a just God, He is also a forgiving God. Scriptures says, “If
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins
and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 ).” May we admit
our fault and ask God to help us to turn away from our sin.
